Children’s House
Ms. Anna got inspired by her Montessori training and moved the toddler cubbies into their classroom. It has skyrocketed their independence! Primary had guests share about Lunar New Year and Africa enriching their geography and culture study.
Elementary
Lower El continues their study of animals with a service project for the Humane Society.
Upper El is learning about symbolism in language studies and in Lunar New Year traditions.
Secondary
Lunch and Learns invite people from all walks of life to share their career and passions.
Mr Taylor and his students are leading an MLK service project mentoring students at Urban Community Montessori in Titusville, AL this month.
We ❤ Hillsboro Day!
We celebrate We Love Hillsboro Day the Thursday after Valentine’s Day. The students and teachers prepare their classrooms for families and friends to visit and allow the children to show you their favorite jobs. Join us Feb 16 at 6pm for a fun progressive open house and visit all the inspiring classrooms at Hillsboro!
Quilting Comfort & Community
Mrs Charlotte Fitzgerald and Mrs Jackie Griffin continue to guide this huge project forward til the end of February. The community is invited to help with the final push to get all the donation quilts finished and ready for patients at the UAB Infusion Clinic. Join us Feb 23, 6:30pm at the Hive. No experience necessary!
